RÜ is a restaurant and a lounge, side by side on Station Road. Come for dinner, stay for the evening.
In the restaurant, the kitchen cooks Kashmiri curries and karahi, lamb chops and chicken from the tandoor, small plates to share and Indo-Italian pasta, until last orders at 23:30. The bar makes mocktails, shakes and desserts all night.
The lounge is a separate covered terrace for shisha and drinks, open until 1am Sunday to Thursday and until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant welcomes families; the lounge is for over-18s.
Velvet booths, brass lamps and palms, with the kitchen open until 23:30. Order a 1kg karahi for the table or the mixed grill for two.

We’ve dressed the terrace in powder-blue florals for private parties, built a wall of roses for Valentine’s and lit up the entrance for Christmas. Tell us the occasion and how many are coming, and we’ll set the room.

See past eventsWe were greeted by our host Kyle, who made sure everything was perfect. The mixed grills were cooked to perfection and the mocktails looked and tasted unreal, especially the RÜ special.
Travelled from Blackburn, around an hour’s drive, and it was definitely worth the journey. The décor is absolutely beautiful. The Dynamite Chicken Loaded Fries were honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
Finally got a booking here as it’s always fully booked. The dynamite prawns were soft inside and crispy outside, the naans were so soft and fluffy, and the seasoning in the curry was perfect.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout. Everything from start to finish was spot on.
Curries, karahi, sliders, loaded fries and desserts, cooked to order in our kitchen and delivered by Uber Eats to Cheadle Hulme and the surrounding area.
